A couple years ago I bought a copy of CabinetCruncher and used it to build new cabinets for a complete kitchen remodel in my house. It worked great, and most importantly, the wife liked how the kitchen turned out. I had already learned how to use Sketchup when I did some other remodeling projects, so using it for this was a piece of cake. I really liked being able to build a 3d model of my kitchen and drop the models of the new cabinets into it before I made a single cut. Pictures of the new kitchen are attached. I needed the software yesterday to build my last drawer in in a den cabinet setup that involved about 25 lineal feet of cabinets. My 1st kitchen is finally done!!

I'd have to give a lot of credit to a spreadsheet program called Cabinet Cruncher. It calculates cut lists for just about any piece in my kitchen cabinets, it was right on the money for every raised panel and end panel that I made. Jeff M. (posted in Sawmillcreek.org)

My First Attempt at Kitchen Cabinets - My wife has been wanting a new kitchen since we bought the house a year and a half ago. My wife is tall at 6 feet even, her two daughters are also tall, and when the 4 of us gathered in the 12×10 kitchen it was elbow to elbow. We priced custom cabinets from the major box stores, plus online, and for the amount of cabinets we needed we were looking at over 15 thousand just for cabinets. Having perhaps less common sense than I should have, I decided to investigate the possibility of making my own. I bought references, books, and did my homework, and decided that I just might be able to pull it off.
