No. CabinetVIEW is designed for 3D cabinet design and visualization in SketchUp. When your design is complete, you use CabinetCRUNCHER to generate the cabinet cut lists, material lists and project estimates based on your cabinet dimensions and construction preferences. CabinetVIEW and CabinetCRUNCHER work together as part of the design-to-build process, but there is no automatic live connection between the two. 

CabinetCRUNCHER is designed specifically for custom cabinetmakers and goes beyond generating a basic cut list. It calculates cabinet components based on your construction methods and shop preferences, and provides detailed material lists, hardware lists and project estimates. You can use SketchUp and CabinetVIEW for 3D design, then use CabinetCRUNCHER for the construction calculations and project data you need to build the project. 

CabinetCRUNCHER is designed to adapt to the way you build. You can adjust your construction settings for different joinery methods, face-frame or frameless construction, overlays and other cabinet-building details. The software then uses those settings when calculating your cabinet components and cut lists, so you don't have to redesign your workflow when your construction method changes. 

CabinetVIEW is designed to work with SketchUp, including the version you currently use for your cabinet designs. Because SketchUp compatibility can vary by version, see our System Requirements page for the currently supported versions before starting your trial. 

Yes. CabinetVIEW models can be used in SketchUp to create 3D cabinet layouts and client presentations. You can resize and arrange the models to match your project, then use SketchUp's visualization and rendering capabilities to help clients see what their finished cabinets will look like before construction begins. 

CabinetCRUNCHER is a one-time purchase with no monthly or recurring subscription fees. You pay once for your software license and can continue using it for your cabinet projects. This gives small shops and DIYers predictable software costs without an ongoing monthly subscription.  

No. You can use CabinetCRUNCHER without SketchUp or CabinetVIEW. Simply enter your cabinet dimensions and select your construction preferences in CabinetCRUNCHER to generate cabinet cut lists, material lists and project estimates. SketchUp and CabinetVIEW are optional tools for creating and visualizing your cabinets in 3D. 

Yes. CabinetCRUNCHER does not require CabinetVIEW or SketchUp. You can design your cabinets in other software such as AutoCAD, 2020 Design or Chief Architect, or work from a hand-drawn layout. Simply enter your cabinet dimensions and construction preferences into CabinetCRUNCHER to generate your cut lists, material lists and project estimates.  

CabinetCRUNCHER uses Microsoft Excel because it gives cabinetmakers a familiar and flexible way to review, customize and work with their project data. Excel handles the construction calculations, cut lists, material lists, hardware lists and project estimates, while CabinetVIEW and SketchUp handle the 3D design and visualization. This separation lets each tool focus on what it does best while giving you control over your construction settings and project data. 

Yes. CabinetCRUNCHER can be used without CabinetVIEW, SketchUp or other design software. If you work from hand-drawn layouts, plans or measurements, simply enter your cabinet dimensions and construction preferences into CabinetCRUNCHER to generate your cut lists, material lists and project estimates.
